2026 Artist Demonstrations


For 2026, several artists will be sharing their techniques and processes

Cynthia Pierce: “I'll be on my wheel spinning clay”

Stop 11: 1012 West Johanna

On demand (can be performed at any time a visitor requests), five minutes a piece.

Experience the magic of clay in motion. Throughout the day, I will be seated at my custom pottery wheel demonstrating the art of wheel throwing as simple pieces of clay transform into elegant ceramic bowls.

Julie Williams: Eco-Print

Tour Stop 12: 701 W. Mary St

Saturday and Sunday, afternoons.

There will be 30-minute Eco-Printing demos utilizing Foliage that will be transferred to watercolor paper. The Demonstration will include the process of transferring plant matter onto Paper using a heat process.

Valerie Chaussonnet: Tea and Crochet for Mother’s day Morning

Tour Stop 6: 2008 Arthur Lane

Sunday May 10 only, 9:30-11am

This mini-workshop starts before the official 11am tour time, You can continue practicing, drinking tea, and visiting as I jump into studio-tour mode. Bring your crochet, yarn, and project if you have them, but I'll have supplies too for all to play with. If you don't like tea, you may bring your coffee!

Blair Randle: Playing my clay flutes; “Tutoring tooters to toot.”

Tour Stop 15: 2309 Thornton RD, Studio O

Saturday & Sunday, May 9 & 10, On demand. Off and on for the duration of the show.

The flutes are “primitive” instruments in that anyone can play them, and yet some simple coaching such as “gentle breath” may be helpful. Professional musicians have used them in their gigs.

Visit Fireseed Clay Art Studios, home base to a variety of artists working in clay, including 6 artists on this year’s tour. Artists will be working on their projects and answering all your questions.
